Megan and Clayton

Our First Chatterley Granddaugher wedding with Megan and Clayton Tanner!!! What a perfect day to celebrate with so many friends and family members to share  the joy of their union on April 8, 2021 in Alpine, Utah. Megan radiated the whole evening! 

Some of the worker bees preping the morning of the wedding but much much more happened months before with flowers and candles and center pieces and colors and even lookiing for the  venue.

Fun fact,,, my youngest  Derek and Jims oldest, Jaron work at Conner group in Lehi,,, anyone that tries to combine families knows how fun it is when we can all share joy and love and celebrate together

We  got an extra fun visit from Clark and his boys on Saturday, We just love getting caught up after our long separation with covid keeping us apart

. We feel happy and hopeful as Utah opens along with the arrival of spring blooms. We pray that all who want the shots can have them and those who are trying to follow the guides of their states and countries will  soon heal, We miss and love our friends and family and send our love and prayers. 

 

Spring breaks have started

 

witih this strange year of  zoom school starting and stoppping, on line, in person, covid tests, shortened school days. Wednesdays off, now it is time for Spring break!

we JUST loved having the Mercados drive more than two days on the road to get here and then to pack 4 hikes, rock climping, soccer games,track meet, biking and roller blading, 

, hot tubbing, Easter egg hunting, dancing, kerioking, swimming, yoga,

discovering new sacred sites

Saratoga Springs temple is looking a little like the Laiee temple, without the spire. We are making a tour around our area of temples that are just getting started and those we miss going inside.

here is the view facing East. Saratoga Springs is right across the Lake from us.

This is the future site of the closest temple to us  only about 1 1/2 miles if we ride our bikes to Lindon

We will continue to travel to the temples  as America opens up after being closed with Covid, Oh how I miss the peaceful feeling of serving inside, For now we will find peace from visiting the outside and doing family service

 

Spring Surprise for Jim

Jim enjoying three generations and honoring Cade with his Priesthood advancement, We sure love having Jaron and Jan and family so close now, And really love getting to see Augie

Trying to surprise Jim with help in the spring trim of our fruit trees is really difficult. The day before the prearranged surprise of all the Chatterley kids in the area, Jim decided to set up the scaffold and start trimming our cherry and pear trees. When I got home, I had to quickly distract him from continuing working and get him off the high ladder and stop. I set up the next day with a fun bike ride along the river and a picnic so that when we returned the kids would already be there.

But of  course Jim had to get into the act and join all the fun.

Nothing makes Jim happier than kids and work projects.

Here is part of the crew, the rest were already getting ready for the well earned pizza party.  A special thanks to Jaron and Heber who manned the two tallest parts of the trimming. Well done, we really love the help and fun times.
