so much fun watching  movie together, but they were very tired, Jake ended up sleeping here, The big girls in the white room and Calvin and Kalie in the new fold out sofa in the playroom. Calvin didnt feel real good, but really wanted to sleep over. They all love doing creative play and I love watching them. I am so happy that I can share time with them. I wish my mom could have lived closer to my children when they were growing up. I am so happy that my children got to see the fun joyful spirit of my mom. I hope that they will know my fun side and also my love of the Gospel , missionary work, and the importance of the family

December sleepover

Well, Kayla has been asking for a grandma sleep over for a long time.. We finally set it up on a Saturday night just between Thanksgiving and Christmas, so what better time than bring out the decorations. At first we made ornaments by painting bears and twisting pipecleaners and drawing, We made cookies and pizza and popcorn, We decorated the WHOLE house. We did puzzles, Kallie and Peters favorite. We watch a movie and then slept. BUT, most important we DANCED! There were costumes, hats and fun stories. The next day we had, what else, french toast! I want to do it again,,,real soon

Family History Conference and Jakes Baptism

Most of our energy went into preparing for the conference and going to the conference. We can do more and more with this service mission. Now, it is just making the time. We prepared to post photos and stories to family search. They are still on my key waiting for me to take the time. We like to be available for the family and this time of year means alot of music and celebrations. We heard Mariah play the piano and Blake and Natalie play the violin and the Three Amigos just play!
Most important was attending the temple on Saturday just before Jake was baptized by Derek. In preparing to attend, I fretted about what to wear.It was our first big snow of the season and I wanted to be comfortable and stylish,,until I prayerfully stopped,,a remembered the blessing and honor to attend our grandsons baptism, I felt foolish but grateful  that I remembered. The spirit was strong and I am thankful that I listened

Finally met my goal

Spring of 2014 I set of goal of finishing my mother Joyce Morrison Lund's life history. Many things got in the way. The biggest being my cat! Oreo helped me delete much of the story up to the parts that I remember ( so all of the family history AND  youth my my mother ) One day while typing along on my tablet the cat stepped and deleted and then I deleted ALL  my work. Upset! but then I found my mothers 1939 - 1940 diary, This filled in the spaces that I knew nothing about. Yesterday I visited my Aunt Jean to ask final questions on their junior high years. Sadly Jean did not remember must, She is 88 years old and like my mother before she died, has dementia. She did remember her mother Celia when I showed her photos. She did not know which twin she was in any of the photos, but most of ALL she remembered going to church, Relief Society, Visiting Teaching, and that Celia worked at the Daughters of the Utah Pioneer building. She still has her quick and ready smile. I love her and Love and Miss my mother.  What did I find out about their teenage lives....???   

2 weeks of travel time

After all the helping and serving the family this summer we needed a break. I went to see Valerie come in first in a 1/2 marathon ( in her age group) and 4th over all! She looked great and hardly missed a beat recovering very quickly. It was conference weekend and we saw all 4 sessions with the grandkids. We enjoyed Sunday sessions with 3 new converts  from Puerto Rico and the Philippines. It was so great to share my testimony and inform them of the Family History program and the joys of service.
I returned home for one day which happened to be our senior reunion for the Switzerland Geneva mission. We were reminded that we were the last to serve in that mission as it is now the France Lyon Mission.. we loved being reminded of fond memories
Then we started our trip to CALIFORNIA . We stayed with Terry and Doug in Mariposa and enjoyed a day at the river with Charice and the three kids.The rest of the time we served as missionaries with the Malhums. We even got to go to Zone conference and here Elder Nielsen. So now we are even more excited to serve another full time mission
