what do we do all day?

I always tell the grandchildren that my favorite subject in Elementary school was recess. When  I taught school in LA. California, I taught kids how to play. Well, it really sounds easier than it is. So, this summer we are going to have "granma school" .Will it just be recess? Well, we shall see!
This is Jim's way of playing. He continues to work on his solar experiments, only this time it is taking up  the driveway! And where will it end up? And who will benefit from this very large circle of ..stuff.??

This is what I love!! happy, energetic, kids!
Peter at his dance festival

Victoria at her dance

And many others who I havent shown either because I dont have their permission ( like the teenagers!) or I just didnt get the shots on my cell phone. I am still needing help moving photos around and getting them on this blog. but. I want you all to know that you are all LOVED and BLESSED with so many wonderful talents, many of which are felt in the way you love your family.

more dancing memories along with memories of love, talent and, skills

Visiting family in Michigan is always exciting and filled with great memories. This time I got even more chances to see the talent, skills and love.
Every day Valerie teaches preschool at Red Bell. Since there is a 2 hour time change, I take my time to get ready and go to school with Val and then during her teaching time I run errands, work out and help teach! I love being and seeing her teaching.

Karissa had a talent show in which she showed her cheering and singing skills

Next we got to see Victoria at her track meet and play with the boys.

In between I knitted and did 20,20 ,20 with the boys

most memories in dance are Victorias. She is strong, flexible, flowing, always great arms and dedication to progress in her talent. I am filled with joy to see her talent.

and lastly I got to celebrate Mothers Day with Valerie, She brings me love everyday when she sacrifices her time to share the little things of her life. We talk, laugh, workout, and bare our souls, I love being with her and her family.

Dancin Queen and other Milestones this month

This time of year brings so many great events to attend. The top photo is Kallie dancing with Copa, Then we got to go to Tanner and McKennas wedding and see more grandkids
We have had graduations and still some to come, a wedding and many dance events.
Since my birthday last month I have been in training mode and while listening to Abba I reworded,  Dancing Queen, only seventy! ( not seventeen,,if you dont recognized the song!)
Here is Layla in Newies, She sang and danced and even did gymnastics!

The Tanner/Mckenna wedding
brought Chatterley cousins and family together for their Seattle Temple marriage.
Most proud of Karina getting pinned at UVU in her nursing ceremony. Just a few days later, she finished her first 1/2 Iron man in St, George. As she says, she finished first  in her category.. mother of 7 and just pinned nursing student!
Yesterday our Morrison girl cousins got together to honor our family, We got caught up on travels and missions, We missed our cousin Claudia who just started serving in the Nauvoo temple. And we miss our cousin Sharon who passed several years ago, But we did get to visit with our oldest relative, Lee Morrison. He is my mothers brother. What I remember about him is,,, riding his bike to the library and picking fruit and veggies from his garden! He has shown us just how healthy his life still is!!
Jim and I continue to try to attend most family activities. There have  been alot in the last few weeks! I didnt get photos on my phone ( when I dont use my phone, I still cant figure out how to get them on my blog !!!) of Logans great track run at BYU and Karina's 1/2 Ironman, and many other sporting events.

It all started here

Outside Temple Hospital, about two months after I was born, on April 20, 1948, I finally got to go "home.". Since my dad was in medical school at Temple in Philadelphia and my parents were struggling financially and then just before I was born, they were robbed, there was not much to go home to. Lucky for them, my first two months were spent in the hospital because I was born 2 months early and way to under developed to leave. So, here is my mom Joyce Morrison and dad, Gordon Lund, as they finally get to leave with their first born.

Jim made my favorite childhood pink cake (add red jello) ,He also brought my favorite adult treats, red peppers, cucumbers, hummus, pineapple, grapes and strawberries. And then , what is a party without pizza!
we had a rocking party to celebrate
my 70th birthday! We played on the scooter boards, hula hoops, bean toss, floor hockey, 60;s music and the grankids even made up a show, a/la the Greatest showman, with all their special talents: tumbling, dancing, yoyos and havin fun!

Nattie is a photographer now. I had her take a glamour shot of me! But she still needs more practice, or a younger model! oh well! All and all, 70's arent so bad. I feel the love and that is what keeps me going.!

celebrating April

We started this month with Easter and General Conference. As we usually enjoy at this time of year, we have reunions with our various missions.  We had Easter egg hunts and times of reading the story of the Resurrection. We met with the Philadelphia Mission by meeting with Elders and Sisters both young and old and sharing our memories of serving together. Here we are lunching with our Suisse Senior Missionary group by doing the traditional raquellete dish, This dish is basically all kinds of melted cheese topping veggies and meats. Most of us brought food that brought back great memories of serving in France and Switzerland.
A few days later we went to San Diego for a quick R/R Here we are at Old Town San Diego Mormon Battalion , We rode the train, used Uber and walked alot..
. .( Jim spent two days in the ICU after losing 1/4 of his blood after a botched colonoscopy and I suffer from vertigo ) So off we went to have fun in the sun.
We really did need this trip !! It is the first trip we did without seeing, visiting, traveling or staying with family!!!

So as I have said before, we are having smooth sailing into our 70's.,, since April is my birthday month! We recommend sun and fun to help heal what ever ails you!
