this year we had many tomatoes and our first year with sun flowers. The larger garden has cauliflower, broccoli, beans, all kinds of squash, onions, beats, kale, and pumpkins. We love our pear, cherry and apple trees! So on this labor day we got to share our time and love with two of the youngest of Derek and Karina, Izaak and Nik. They missed having Erik (Vals youngest ) during their time together and Izaak wasnt sure where Erik Mercado was when Nik said that Erik had died. Well, I got to remind them that Erik is named after the baby Erik that died ( my first born son) All a little confusing but it gave me an opportunity to share the story of baby Erik who was born with spina bifida . And we talked about Heaven and about all the challenges baby Erik had in his life. It was very touching.

then I got the great idea to make the Titanic. Izaak is fascinated by all kinds of boats and trailers, and lucky for them they have grandpa Jim

sharing our time and love with our grandkids makes our life full of joy .I miss this time of year when I should be getting ready for school, I miss being with kids but,, oh,,, how I dont have the energy I used to have!!!
