This week we got abricots for $1.90 a kilo, not bad and home grown..;surplus. Monday night is Spanish Family home evening with many different Spanish, including Chile, Peru, and Brazil ( yes, I know it is Portuguese speaking but that is the day we usually see and work with them. Tuesday we made cookies for FHE, (French/English is held on tuesday nights) and cookies for our neighbor who is very sick with her forth pregnancy. Wednesday is Ballet for some YSA then French class. This week we had a speical Zone conference on Friday as our Mission has now changed to the French/Lyon Mission and we recieved a certificate ,Job well done release from the Geneva Switzerland mission which now longer exists. After we drove 1 1/2-2 hours to Chambery branch for a Fete de la Musique bal. Then bright and early Sat, for the play offs of le match football. Our home town held a Hugh fete honoring Voltaire bringing in crowds from all over,At one of the plays they grabbed me out of the audience (do I look like a sucker?) and made me up for part of the scene..WOW , I am well spent but happy to be here and serving at this time..

Tradtions de nos Peres

Our demonstration called< Tradtions de nos Peres> was presented Friday after the CES graduation. It contained script in french, and danse and songs in English from Fiddler on the Roof. As with any large project we had many barriers to cross over but are grateful for the Lords Hand in helping us with the final evening. The was packed with family and friends. After there was fabulous food and a dance. What could be a better way to end all the hard work. We are grateful for all the sacrifices but especially the help from above.

My Passions...right now

I feel moved to send my thoughts right now after having a busy week of last minute changes to our demonstration, our interpretation of Fiddler on the Rood,or as we french speakers are calling Traditions de nos Peres. A few days ago I hear about the Tony awards going to the latest B of M interpretation on Broadway right when we are finishing our little YSA theatre. Timing is interesting.! I feel so happy to be able to share my love of the arts with the YSA, I feel honored to serve here and be able to share my love of the gospel of Jesus Christ restored to the earth in the latter days. As my passion for the Gospel and the Arts are both so strong today, my prayer is that the realm true message will be heard and interpreted correctly

Repetition week

After spending the last three afternoon and evenings avec le repetition  we came home last night, had a fried egg , then watched a movie (thanks to JAN) and ate the biggest bowl of popcorn you have ever seen, with  not so good jelly beans (nothing will ever be as good as Jelly Bellys!)
So what has gone on since my last entry--- is reptition reptition reptition---That is why it is such a Great word!  In french when you practice something, like for a comedie musicale, what do you do?? Repeat. So, with our Fiddler now back from working with Club Med, we have until Friday to pull the  demonstration together.
That said, tomorrow nothing happens because it is another fete/holiday---whit Monday or Pentecote,Monday of the Holy spirit, which is believed when the Holy Ghost enters Christ (after the Asension) It is a holiday celebrated around Europe from what I hear by family gatherings, and food;  It sounds like a giant FHE.
love and joy and a prefect brightness of hope, Mom. Pat, Soeur

Holiday-- Ascension and other info

Last Thursday was a big fete-holiday Ascension. It is the day that they celebrate Christ going up to Heaven (ascending), forty days after Easter, so it changes every year, And it is always on Thursday, so that makes it a 4 day weekend, But, we saw no one going to church!
We had 4 baptism this weekend. They were all young, one of them comes to the Centre with her mother.
This month we are fasting for finding those interested in learning about the gospel. As there are many, many churches here, but not too much interest in the people who are native to this beautiful area of the world.
We have a two pet birds that are not afraid to come right up to the window to get some treats
